It's been less than a week off social media and I could not feel more rested. Not only have I been taking a social media break, but I've decided to take a break from working as well. As I near the end of my pregnancy, I wanted to enter a complete zen mode and make myself feel as calm as possible before going into labor. Omg. It has been truly fantastic.
In the process, I've been napping.
In the process, I've been reading.
In the process, I've been writing in my journal.
In the process, I've been reflecting.
In the process, I'm getting excited to paint miniature oil paintings again.
In the process, I'm dreaming of new designs for a new collection.
In the process, I've been watching some really good movies.
In the process, I've been meditating on a daily basis.
I've become a total homebody, nesting, resting and staying quiet. I didn't realize how badly I needed this, but every fiber of my being knows that when I get back into the studio, I'll be craving to work again. I want to continue to make work that only comes from the heart, and this time of decompressing has brought that thought to the forefront.
Life is good,
Caitlin
