I'm excited to announce that I’ve been selected to be a part of the Jewelry Loupe Project. This is jewelry business incubator program available to emerging women designers in the jewelry field. It lasts for six months and throughout that time, I will receive insights on all things jewelry business from concept and design to marketing and branding from other women who have years of experience. I’ve also been paired with a mentor who will guide me through developing a new jewelry line for my business.
What exactly is a jewelry line? It’s kind of the signature work of a business, something that I’d like to be known for. With this line I’ll be able to create repeatable designs and my one-of-a-kind pieces. They do push for mostly repeatable works, but I know I want to stay true to my love and passion for experimentation and one-off pieces. I’m looking for a balance that is more sustainable where I can offer pieces at different price points, but still have the freedom to create anything that inspires me.
I’m also going to be designing necklaces! Bracelets! Rings! Oh my! Who am I? I’ve got my work cut out for me, but I'm going to take every opportunity I can within this 6-month program with the idea of developing this line over the years to come.
Your feedback will be crucial to me during this time. I have a long list of things I’ve learned over the years as having you as my customer and patron, but I’m all ears. What are some things you’d love to see in the future? Ring stacks? Statement rings? Statement cuffs? B
racelets? Small earrings? Gift-worthy designs? Comment below to let me know.
Here’s an article that they recently published announcing the whole participants, and here’s a link that explains the program.
