How to Style La Grazia Collection

As I sat in my studio wondering what to create, I knew I had to approach the work differently. I had designs in my notebook, but they weren’t quite speaking to me yet.

As inspiration struck, I realized I wanted to create pieces centered around fashion. I chose an outfit that truly resonated with my designs and drawings, and through it I could clearly visualize what I was making, and for whom.

Each piece that emerged wasn’t about using words to make a statement, but about letting the clothing and the jewelry speak together. I began creating work inspired by dramatic, boldly colored, draping forms. I kept returning to the same question: if I were commissioned to create a piece for this outfit, what would it look like?

Statement earrings, necklaces, and collars became the foundation, and the collection began to take shape as a cohesive body of work.

This is an ongoing collection, one that continues to grow and take on a life of its own. At its core is a sense of artistic freedom, of drama, and of statement pieces, themes that return to me again and again.

This collection feels like a shift in how I listen to my work. By stepping outside of my usual process and responding to form, movement, and presence, I found a new way of seeing. What began with a single outfit has opened into something expansive, and I’m curious to see where it continues to lead.

Thanks so much for reading.

Take care for now,

Caitlin
